Cranberry Township is getting upgrades to its water treatment facility.
The board of supervisors approved new activated carbon systems to the Brush Creek Water Pollution Control Facility.
The new systems will absorb toxic substances and pollutants that are not easily bio-degradable.
Township officials say this improves the overall quality of surface and groundwater sources.
