Cranberry Township is the latest municipality to join an effort to help limit flooding during a storm.
Their board of supervisors approved joining Adams, Forward, Jackson, and Lancaster Townships in the Southwest Butler County Joint Stormwater Planning Group.
The group formed after devastating floods in 2019 that impacted municipalities in the southwest corridor of the county.
The collaborative effort is looking at ways to mitigate future flooding in the region. It has also developed the Lower Connoquenessing Stormwater Planning Study.
