Crawford Goehring “Dook” Bolten, 86, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 22, 2023, at the UPMC Passavant – McCandless.
He was born March 24, 1936, in Butler Twp, Pennsylvania to the late Frederick A. L. Bolten and the late Minda Mary Geohring Bolten.
Crawford was a Veteran of US Army and a member of the American Legion Post #778 of Lyndora. He worked as a Welder in the Silicon Department at Butler Armco, retiring in 1996, after 30 years of service. Crawford was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church.
Crawford is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lou Bolten, who he married on October 1, 1965; one son, Jamie M. (Victoria) Bolten of Renfrew, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Scott Michael Bolten; two sisters; and two brothers.
Friends will be received Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Rev. Leigh Benish, officiating.
Officers and Members of the American Legion Post #117, American Legion Post #778, and the VFW Post #249 will conduct military services before the funeral service at the Funeral Home.
Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the donor’s favorite charity or the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
