Crews were busy battling a fire at a building that was being renovated in Ellwood City late last week.
Firefighters were called to a building in the 500 block of Lawrence Avenue last Friday evening. Crews found a working fire with flames coming from the second and third floors of the building.
Crews were able to get the fire under control in about a half hour.
The building was damaged in the fire. Crews say it had been under renovation for about three years.
There was also a pizza shop and apartments next door that had smoke damage.
The cause of the fire is not known.
