Crews battled a fire at an abandoned home in Butler Township yesterday.
The Butler County 911 Center received numerous calls just after 4:30 p.m. when neighbors heard multiple explosions coming from an abandoned home in the 300 block of Whitestown Road.
When crews got on scene, they found a fully involved fire and smoke billowing over the home.
Crews were able to get the fire under control in about an hour, although they remained on scene for more than four hours.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
