Crews were on the scene of a gas well fire for hours last night.
It happened around 11:15 p.m. at a gas well in the 200 block of Cheeseman Road in Muddy Creek Township—which is just off Route 19.
Dispatchers say crews arrived and found a working fire at the well. It did require a large response to help battle the blaze, as foam trailers and multiple tankers were needed.
The Butler County HAZMAT team was also called to assist.
There were no apparent injuries in the fire.
It’s not known what started the blaze.
