First responders had a busy morning as they were called to a number of accidents across the county.
There were multiple crashes on I-79 southbound this morning. The first happened just before 6:30 a.m. in Muddy Creek Township for a single-vehicle rollover. Not long after that crash, there were two separate accidents in the southbound lane near the 98 mile marker—which is near the Route 422 exit. All crashes led to significant delays.
There were also delays on I-79 just south of Cranberry, as traffic was backed up for a time due to a multi-vehicle crash near Wexford.
At least two people were injured in a crash this morning in Clinton Township. Crews were also called to a three-vehicle accident just after 6:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Saxonburg Boulevard, which is Route 228 East. Police say at least two people suffered minor injuries in that crash—EMS was called for evaluations.
Another accident happened around 6:40 a.m. on Bonniebrook Road at the intersection with Keel Lane. One person suffered injuries to their head.
