Crews were busy Saturday morning with a couple of vehicle accidents.
The first happened at 8 a.m. in Center Township. State Police say 20-year-old Manfred Johns of Slippery Rock was traveling north on Rt. 8 (near Beacon Lane) when his SUV crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck head-on.
The truck’s driver- 75-year-old Bernard Shaffer of Grove City- and his three passengers were not seriously injured. Johns was hurt and taken by ambulance to the hospital. Both vehicles were unable to be driven from the scene.

An hour later at about 9 a.m., crews responded to a one-vehicle crash on Route 308 in Cherry Township.
45-year-old Kimberly Vero-Lynn of Harrisville was traveling west when she lost control of her Jeep, left the road, struck a tree and flipped.
She was not injured.
