Firefighters worked to battle a blaze at a single story residence in Cranberry Township Thursday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 2 p.m. from a neighbor who observed a structure fire on Robinhood Drive.
Crews from Cranberry, Callery, and Harmony were among those arriving on the scene to find flames visible from two sides and the back bedroom. Crews say no one was inside the home at the time of the fire, but they did rescue a cat.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time, but the damage is considered to be extensive.
