A barn was completely destroyed in a fire Wednesday morning in Washington Township.
The call came in around 6:45 a.m. for a barn on fire in the 2000 block Oneida Valley Road—which is about a half mile south of JM Beatty Furniture.
When crews arrived on scene, they described it as a fully involved fire. A number of tankers had to respond in order to battle the blaze.
The fire was contained by 7:15 a.m., but at that point the barn was considered a total loss.
Firefighters say it was a horse barn—but fortunately none of the horses were inside the barn at the time of the blaze.
