A house was significantly damaged in an overnight fire in Washington Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center around 1:45 a.m. for a fire in the 300 block of Hilliard Road.
When crews got on scene, they found a fully involved house fire. According to dispatchers, nearby woods also caught on fire.
Multiple crews were called to help battle the blaze. At one point, firefighters needed to cut a hole in the roof in order the knock down the flames.
Crews were able to get the fire under control in about an hour.
Everyone was able to get out of the home safely; it’s not known what started the fire.
