The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 in overtime last night at PPG Paints Arena. The Pens battled back from a 3-1 deficit in the first period and gained a point in the game when Sidney Crosby scored with less than thirty seconds remaining in regulation. The Pens had pulled goaltender Tristan Jarry to add an extra attacker that allowed the Pens to tie the game. The Canucks scored three minutes into the overtime period.
Crosby scored two goals in the game and passed former New York Islander Mike Bossy for 22nd on the NHL’s All-Time goals list. He now has 574 goals in his career.
The Penguins visit Carolina Saturday night. Face-off is 7pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 6:30pm.
