At last week’s Butler City Council meeting, Mayor Bob Dandoy took time to give a “State of the City” address.
Dandoy expressed optimism with the City’s future. He cited successes with the streetscape plan and park improvements, but says the biggest decision in front of the City is how to invest the money from the Butler Area Sewer Authority sale.
“If we do this right, the investment will last far into the future for generations of city residents. The right investments will bring positive growth to our City,” Dandoy said.
He also thanked city workers for their efforts.
“It’s always been my philosophy to make sure that the right people are on board and in the right places. We are fortunate that our city employees have by-and-large performed well and have moved the city forward,” Dandoy said.
Dandoy also says the communication between other government entities, such as the county and state, have vastly improved. He also said the communication and work between council has been very cordial and positive.
