A new plaque honoring patriots who served in the Revolutionary War could soon be coming to Butler County.
Members of the General Richard Butler chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution gave a presentation at yesterday’s county commissioner meeting outlining the proposed plaque.
The 30 by 30 plaque would honor those and try to raise awareness of the courage and sacrifice of Revolutionary War patriots who fought for America’s freedom. This would be in conjunction with the country’s upcoming 250th anniversary
Commissioners approved the initial agreement and they are exploring placing the plaque on the front lawn of the Butler County Courthouse.
