David C. Thompson, 64, of Butler passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021. He was born in Butler on March 8, 1956 to the late James Sr. and Mary Louise (Vozar) Thompson. David loved hunting, fishing, camping, and was known to always be found around a campfire. He was a social member of the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department and was also a previous chief of the Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Department. He was the beloved husband of Regina (Rodgers) Thompson since their marriage in 1974; father of Christina Thompson, Shannon (Jonathan) Madden, and Rebecca (Matt) Swain; brother of James (Patti) Thompson Jr. and John (Carol) Thompson; grandfather of Terrance, Nevaeh, Morgan, Nathan, Drew, Liam, Lexi, and Neil. He is also survived by his aunts Margaret Moore and Dorthy Vozar, nieces, nephews, and a large and loving family. Friends received on Friday, February 12th from 5-7 pm in the SPENCER D.
