David Lee “Hawkeye” Krason, 73, passed away on Sunday, February 27, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Butler, PA.
David was born on October 26, 1948, to the late Walter and Ann (Ochaba) Krason.
He graduated from Butler high school in 1966. He was a disabled veteran of the U.S Army, having served in the Vietnam War. David was a retired Veterans’ Rep. at Career Link in Butler. He was also employed as a painter at the VA hospital in Butler. In addition, he ran Professional Wallcoverings, his own painting and wallpapering business. In his spare time, David was an avid golfer who believed in living life to the fullest.
He is survived by his daughter, Beth (Krason) Leasher and her husband, Nathan of Harmony, PA; four grandchildren; Lumen, River, Nova and Paxton also of Harmony; two brothers and a sister, Robert “Bob” Krason and his wife, Kathy of Meridian, PA; Walter “Puncho” Krason and his wife, Joyce of Valencia, PA; Theresa “Terri” (Krason) Markle and her husband, Charlie of Slippery Rock, PA.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Patricia “Trish” (Weigle) Krason and a grandson, Rider Aaron Crawford.
There will be no public visitation.
Services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 10:30 am at First United Methodist Church, 200 East North Street, Butler, PA, with Rev. Tom Holman, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of David to The Ronald McDonald House or The Highmark Caring Place.
