David R. Heddaeus, 78, of Penn Twp., passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022, at his home with his family by his side.
Born July 5, 1944, in Austin, TX, he was the son of the late Raymond L. and Emma L. (Miller) Heddaeus.
David was a graduate of North Allegheny High School and went on to attend Penn State University where he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering and then attended the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his MBA. He worked as an electrical engineer / president for Cross Electronics for many years. David was a member of the Butler Old Stone House Car Club, the Early Ford V-8 Club of America and the Harmony Moose Lodge. He also enjoyed classic cars and bowling.
David is survived by his wife, Betty (Lockard) Heddaeus, whom he married on Sept 28, 1991, one son, Mark (Ped) Heddaeus of Greensboro, NC; one daughter, Karen Heddaeus of Jamestown, NC; one step-son, Jason Parks of Butler; one step-daughter, Michelle (Todd) Evans of Trenton, OH, three brothers, William (Diane) Heddaeus of Honolulu, HI, Thomas Heddaeus of Honolulu, HI, and Paul (Jan) Heddaeus of Napoleon, OH; seven grandchildren and two nieces.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Diane Heddaeus.
All are invited to attend a visitation for David on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 12-3 PM at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001 where a funeral service will follow immediately at 3:00 PM with Matt Bupp officiating.
Burial will be held at Mt. Royal Cemetery.
