With cooler temperatures slated for this week, experts say the region will start to see fall foliage hit its peak.
Currently, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources lists Butler County as “approaching peak color” for fall foliage. But, with much more seasonable temperatures in store the leaves changing color should happen rather soon.
However, the Laurel Highlands have now hit peak color along with many areas to our north.
DCNR suggests taking Route 8 from Oil City to Titusville to observe some of the area’s best fall foliage.
