There’s still time to sign up to participate in a program to learn more about local law enforcement.
The Butler Township Police Department is once again holding a Citizens Police Academy. The program consists of seven classes starting next week (Jan. 16) and will let citizens get a closer look at criminal law and investigations, the judicial system, vehicle laws, traffic stops and use of force.
This is a free program and participants do not need to live in Butler Township to sign up.
Applications can be picked up at the Butler Township Police Department and are due Tuesday, Jan. 9.
