He was a truck driver for various trucking companies in Butler County. He was a member of New Beginnings Free Methodist Church, 416 Center Avenue, Butler, PA. He was a member of the Butler American Legion Post 778, serving in the United States Army in Germany from 1976 – 1979, graduating from Big Ben Community College, Bremerhaven, Germany He liked fishing, hunting, gardening, trucking, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Delbert is survived by his loving companion, Nancy Guidotti. 3 sons: Michael and Bry Hockenberry, Tim and Cara Hockenberry, Brett and Becky Hockenberry, 3 step-children: Jim and Julie Fitzpatrick, Shannon and Mike Guidotti, Heather and Torre Moore. 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons. The mother of his sons Pam Foreman. Siblings: Don and Chuck Hockenberry, Ted and Jeff Brown, Marsha Straight, Maria Czulewicz.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Friends received, at Steighner Funeral Home, 111 E. Slippery Rock Street, Chicora, PA. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 A.M. Wednesday at the Funeral Home, with Reverend Matthew Perkins, pastor of New Beginnings Free Methodist Church.
Interment will be in Rimer Hill Cemetery, Templeton, PA
Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Chicora and East Brady American Legion at the Funeral Home.
