Erie native Preston Nouri declared his candidacy at a United Steelworkers facility.
The 24-year-old currently works for the Department of Defense. He says his campaign is centered on growing the middle class and helping create better access to healthcare.
Congressman Mike Kelly currently represents the 16th Congressional District and has announced he is seeking re-election.
