With the start of the school year right around the corner, state officials are encouraging students to get their COVID vaccines.
Dr. Deb Carrara is with the Department of Education and she says children 12 and older should get vaccinated to help ensure a safe school year.
“As communities across the Commonwealth prepare for a new school year, we must work together to create healthy and safe conditions for our students, our teachers, and our staff,” Carrara said.
Carrara also said that the state is trying to work with school districts to offer the necessary guidance and preparation for the upcoming school year.
