The state Department of Health says the number of flu cases is surging.
The latest data showed that for the last week of November, there were over 17,000 confirmed cases of the flu. That’s the most in a week since 2014.
In Butler County, the number of confirmed cases is now over 800 for the flu season.
Health officials urge those who are six months and older to get a flu shot.
