Officials say a new phone scam is circulating for those who receive EBT benefits.
A text message will read that “Your Pennsylvania access card is blocked” and looks legitimate.
Officials say people then call the number and scammers will take personal information and SNAP benefit funds.
Department of Human Services says they will never send a text message like this. They add that they will never include specific details about your benefits.
