Diana Kay Sloan, 74, of Butler, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Newhaven Court at Clearview.
Born in her maternal grandmother’s home in Deanville, Armstrong County, PA, she was the third of four children of Richard and LaRue (Griffin) Allen. Her sister, Linda (Richard) Campbell and her brother John and sister-in-law, Linda (Cockcroft) Allen pre-deceased her.
Diana taught school and GED preparation classes. She was an avid reader, an active environmentalist and flower gardener and enjoyed a variety of church activities.
But being a Christian wife, mother, granna, and friend brought her life’s greatest rewards.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, her son, Matthew (Bethany) and grandsons Joshua and Luke of Murray, KY, as well as her son Christopher and his fiancé Katherine of Sandwich, NH. She is also survived by her brother, Terry (Mary) Allen and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 10AM until the time of service at 12 noon with Pastor David Janz officiating.
Private burial will follow in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery, West Sunbury, PA.
