All three district magistrate races have winners that will be the sole candidate on the ballot in the fall.
The closest race of the night was in Evans City in the battle to replace Wayne Seibel. Former news reporter Amy Marcinkiewicz defeated Joe McCombs in both ballots, including just a 42 vote win in the Republican primary.
Attorney Joe Nash claimed the victory in the race for Slippery Rock magistrate.
Public defender Kevin Flaherty won the nomination for both parties which will see him become the next district magistrate in Cranberry Township.
