The Department of Justice announced late last week that it will not be investigating Governor Tom Wolf and his administration for how they handled nursing homes during the pandemic.
The DOJ was looking into whether or not Wolf’s administration violated federal law by requiring nursing homes to take in patients who had been treated for COVID at the hospital.
The order from Wolf has received sharp criticism from Republican lawmakers who say that decision led to more fatalities in nursing homes.
The DOJ also announced they would not be pursuing an investigation into Michigan for the same order.
