Donald F. “Goose” Gaiser, 88, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 16, 2021 at the West Penn Hospital.
He was born February 14, 1933 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Floyd A. Gaiser and the late Mabel (Miller) Gaiser.
Donald worked as a ladle crane operator at Armco retiring in 1993 after 41 years. He was very active in the Meridian Fire Departments. Donald was a member of the Butler Victory Lodge #272 F & A M and several country music associations. He loved to dance and travel where he visited all 50 states and every National Parks in the United States. Donald was a master wood worker specializing in cutting out Christmas displays. He was a boy scout leader responsible for the canoeing trips for 6 years. Donald was a member of St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served as an usher.
He is survived by his second wife, Alma Atkison who he married March 17, 2018; two sons, Donald P. Gaiser of Prospect, PA, and Kenneth R. (Linda) Gaiser of Beaver, PA; two daughters, Susan (Vince) Cummings of Claxton, GA, and Drusilla Sisson of Butler, PA; , six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; six step children, seventeen step grandchildren; and seven step great great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Gaiser of Verona, PA; one sister Louise Osselborn of Oakmont, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy L. (Kearns) Gaiser, one daughter, Marilyn Krick; two grandsons and one sister, Coralee Cranmer.
Friends will be received at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. Friday, March 19, 2021 from 2 to4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Officers and Members of the Butler Victory Lodge #272 F. & A. M. will meet at the funeral home at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021 to conduct Masonic Services.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:00 am. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with, Pastor David Phillips officiating.
Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
