Donald Thomas, Jr., 65, of East Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 29, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
He was born September 10, 1952 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Donald Thomas, Sr. and the late Mary Lou Slomers Thomas.
Donald was a member of the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department and loved hunting. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by two sons, Donald (Valerie) Thomas of West Sunbury, PA, and Grant ( fiance Jessica Bauman); Thomas of East Butler, PA; four grandchildren, Donald, Taylor, Colton, and Alexis; three sisters, Carol Chitwood, Donna (Kevin) Hayden, and Mary Ellen Sleigher; one brother, David (Joyce) Thomas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Neff, and, Debbie Raimondi.
According to his wishes there will be no public visitation.
A committal service will be held at Butler County Memorial Park on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Matthew McClain of St. Wendelin Parish, officiating.
Officers and Members of the American Legion Post #117 of Butler, American Legion Post #778 of Lyndora, and VFW Post #249 of Butler will conduct military honors at the cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial are requested to Good Samaritan Hospice, 116 Browns Hill Road, Valencia, PA 16059.
