Doris Antoszyk, 87 of Cabot passed away on February 5, 2021 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries
Born April 19, 1933 in Freeport, PA, she was the daughter of George Hines and Josie Haines Hines Lowers.
Doris was a member of the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church and St. John’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora, the GFWC Saxonburg District Woman’s Club. She served on the South Butler County School Board for 8 years, and had served on the Board of SEBCO and was very active in the American Field Services, for over 25 years, hosting over over 100 students..
Surviving are five sons, Gary (Carol) Antoszyk of Lakeland, FL, Mark (Sharon) Antoszyk of Concord, NC, Brian (Karen) Antoszyk of Saxonburg, John (Penny) Antoszyk of Marion, KS and her AFS son, Rolando (Shelly) Lorenzano of Silver Spring, MD, her daughter, Joanne (Mark) Colpo of Sarver, two brothers, John (Susan) Lowers of Freeport and Bruce (Donna) Hines of Avella, PA, three sisters, Carol Sue (Robert) Hunter of Freeport, Beth (Darryl) Acre of Tarentum and Beverly Gordon of Avella, PA and over 60 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, John Lowers, her step-mother Margaret Hines, her husband, John J. Antoszyk on May 21, 2003 and two sisters, Patricia Hoover and Sandy Cooper.
Friends will be received on Sunday, February 7, 2021, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA. with services to follow at 3:00 pm with Carmen Shullo officiating.
Interment will be in Freeport Cemetery.
