Butler City Council officially welcomed their newest member at a swearing-in ceremony yesterday.
New Councilman Troy Douthett took the oath of office for a four-year term. He was joined by Councilman Dan Herr, who won his first four-year term as well.
Douthett says he’s looking forward to settling in and learning what needs done.
“At this point, I’m just trying to get my head wrapped around everything. So that’s where I’m at currently,” Douthett said. “I’m just trying to get everything under control, juggle everything together and go from there.”
Douthett will oversee the streets department.
Also, City Treasurer Linda Graham-Greek was sworn-in, along with new City Controller Jeffery Snyder.
