A Butler man is accused of stabbing his roommate.
Scott Bolte, 46, remains in the Butler County Prison charged with felony assault.
Butler City Police say they were called to a home in the 200 block of West Diamond Street about 1 a.m. Monday. When they arrived, Bolte allegedly admitted to officers that he stabbed 25-year-old Alexander Shelatree five times with a folding knife.
Shelatree was treated at Butler Memorial for non-life threatening stab wounds to his arm, chest and leg.
Witnesses told police Bolte and Shelatree began arguing, which turned into a shoving match. Then Bolte pulled out the knife. The cause of the argument is unclear.
