Dozens of animals had to be removed from an Eau Claire Borough home after police say its owners neglected the animals.
Police arrived at a home in the 400 block of South Washington Street earlier this month to serve a warrant to the home owner for animal neglect. After serving the warrant, a total of 58 animals had to be removed from the house. It included dogs, cats, snakes, rats, a ferret, a goat, and a bearded dragon.
Police did not reveal the identity of the homeowners, however they also had to call Children and Youth Services as multiple children were living inside the home.
All of the animals were taken to a shelter.
The investigation is ongoing.
