One of the more prominent candidates running for Senate made a stop in Butler yesterday.
Dr. Mehmet Oz talked to a crowd of around 100 people at the 11th Frame. He held a town hall style meeting and talked about major topics of his campaign, including China, COVID policies, and energy independence.
“We’ve got folks across this Commonwealth who have thoughts and ways of improving energy supply and doing a better job of how we manage things. Complex things like schools, but simple things like making sure kids go to them,” Oz said. “These are all issues we can get ahead of if we stop falling prey to some of the bickering and back biting that happens when people have alternative agendas.”
Oz doubled down on the need for natural gas in order to support the country’s energy needs.
“Natural gas is so vitally important,” Oz said. “It needs to be an all of the above solution for energy.”
Oz positioned himself as an outsider who would go to Washington to fight for Pennsylvanians.
The town hall lasted for nearly an hour, before Oz left for New Castle.
