A dresser designed for children’s bedrooms is being recalled after officials deemed it a tip-over risk.
The Mill Valley Junior six-drawer dresser was recalled by the Consumer Protection Agency this week. This is the first time a recall has been issued under the STURDY Act, which requires additional safety testing for dressers, armoires, and more. It was legislature sponsored by Senator Bob Casey amid an uptick in child deaths due to tip-overs.
This recall impacts about 200 units. Consumers should contact “Rooms To Go” to remove the dresser and offer a free delivery of a replacement.
Rooms To Go toll-free at 855-688-0919 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET, email at [email protected] or online at www.MillValleyJuniorRecall.com
