The Cranberry Township driver who is accused of dragging her boyfriend with her SUV has past arrests for a hit-and-run and drugs.
Jessica Royall, 28, was scheduled to appear in an Allegheny Courtroom on Monday on charges stemming from a hit-and-run last summer, but that proceeding was postponed. In that case, Royall allegedly struck a vehicle from behind in a shopping center and then drove away.
Royall told police she fled because she had an outstanding warrant on her for failure to appear in court on drug charges.
Royall remains housed in the Butler County Prison following Friday’s dragging incident, which killed her boyfriend. A preliminary hearing is set for April. For more on Friday’s incident, click here.
