The man involved in the crash at Lernerville Speedway over the weekend has died.
According to a family social media post, 51-year-old Shane Nolan of Chicora passed away Monday afternoon.
Nolan was racing at Lernerville on Sunday afternoon when his car went into the wall, flipped in the air, and then landed on its roof.
Nolan had to be extricated out of the vehicle and was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital.
The Allegheny Medical Examiner’s Office said Nolan died of blunt force trauma to the head and body.
