A motorist suffered serious injuries after they were ejected from their car earlier this weekend in nearby Mercer County.
According to the State Police, a 41-year-old Oil City woman was traveling on Route 62 in Coolspring Township just after 8am on Saturday when her car hydroplaned.
Officials say that the driver then lost control of the car, which then fish tailed and went off the roadway and struck multiple trees before overturning.
The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected, and pinned under the vehicle when crews arrived on scene. Crews then transported the driver to the Grove City Medical Center for treatment.
A 12-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries in the crash. He was also transported to the Grove City Medical Center for treatment.
