Three people are behind bars following a drug bust Wednesday in the city of Butler.
The Butler County Drug Task Force raided an apartment in the 500 block of West Cunningham Street- near Doughboy Park- around noon.
Residents Jenna and Joseph Orkwis- as well as Marcus Campbell of Warren, Ohio- were arrested and remain in jail on $100,000 bond each.
“When officers entered the residence, Joseph Orkwis was located in a back bedroom with 4.37 grams of cocaine and 3.03 grams of suspected heroin- both in plain sight- along with a large sume of U.S. currency,” according to a criminal complaint.
Police seized suspected crack and powdered cocaine, grams and stamp bags of heroin, nearly $3,000 in cash, two digital scales, six cell phones and multiple loose sandwich bags.
“A field test was performed on the suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, and both tested positive for the presence of cocaine,” according to police. “The suspected heroin was not field tested due to safety concerns of fentanyl. All controlled substances are being sent to the PA State Police crime lab for further analysis.”
Authorities say the amount of controlled substances and money, and the presence of packaging materials, indicates the drugs were being sold.
