A man who was the head of a drug ring and lived in both Butler and Philadelphia was convicted in federal court late last week.
After a five-day jury trial, 43-year-old Qureem Overton was convicted of conspiring to distribute 40 grams of fentanyl, along with heroin and cocaine from Jan. 2017 to June of 2020.
Overton was the leader of a Philadelphia-to-Butler pipeline for fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine.
When Overton was arrested in June of 2020 Butler County District Attorney Rich Goldinger called Overton and the crew he ran “high level dealers.”
Pennsylvania State Police and Butler County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force helped lead the investigation that led to Overton’s prosecution.
