Antlerless deer licenses will go on sale later this month but there is still time for landowners to purchase a license before other hunters.
According to Butler County Treasurer Diane Marburger, an eligible landowner of 50 or more contiguous acres in Butler County can purchase a license from her office for $6.90 before Friday, July 10th.
The license will be issued for the Wildlife Management Unit where the land is located. Three WMUs exist within Butler County including 1-A, 2-B, and 2-D. The landowner must keep property they own open to public hunting year-round to qualify.
Non-landowning hunters seeking a regular doe license can submit their first applications by mail beginning on Monday, July 13. Only one application per hunter will be accepted in the first round of sales. The second round of sales will begin in August.
