Edward Warren Dixon, 29, of Freeport, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021.
He was born June 18, 1991 at the Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD, the son of Bridget Rice Cassidy and Donald S. Dixon.
Edward moved to Butler in May of 1999 and attended Butler Schools. He graduated with a GED in 2011. He worked as a chef and interned with his friend, Jeremy Critchfield at the Stone House, then became a manager at the Bird Dog’s Sports Bar and Grill.
Surviving are his fiancé and their baby, Kiersten Malak and her family; his mother and step dad, Bridget (Gary) Cassidy of Butler; his sister, Laura Brackett of Butler; brother, Donald (Stephanie) Brackett of Thomasville, NC; stepsisters, Jill Cassidy and Tabatha (Joey) Glover of Stubenville, OH; stepbrother, Scott (Diana) Cassidy of New Cumberland; his father, Donald Dixon; half sister, Dawn Dixon of CO; his nephews, Braydon Hoffman, Colin Hoffman, Kristepher Brackett, Austin Horton, Michael Cassidy, Aaron Sheetz and Issac Cassidy; his nieces, Vivica Dunlap, Tressa Howard, Lexi Howard, Cora Young and Sara Strock. Also, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him very much and his best friend who was always there for him, Larry Ford. A special thanks to Aunt P and Uncle Billy for being there.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
