The Pennsylvania secretary of state is offering some advice for those who haven’t turned in their mail-in ballots yet.
Leigh Chapman says with less than a week away from the election, voters have the option of dropping their mail-in ballots off in-person at the county’s election office. Chapman reiterates that you must turn in your ballot; no one can do it for you, unless they meet the two exceptions.
“One, voters with a disability must designate someone in writing to deliver their ballot for them,” Chapman said. “Two, voters who apply for an emergency absentee ballot because they have an illness, disability, or last-minute absence from their municipality on Election Day can designate someone else to return their ballot for them.”
Mail-in ballots must be returned to the county’s election office, which is inside the county government center, by 8 p.m. next Tuesday.
