Two Ellwood City women are facing charges after they assaulted a man and a police officer.
State police were called to a home on West Lawrence Avenue in Wayne Township Lawrence County Monday evening. A 27-year-old man told police that 26-year-old Katelyn Weller and 25-year-old Lindsey Weller entered his garage and hit him over the head with a rock.
After he went down, they allegedly continued to assault him and damaged his garage.
When police found the two women later that day, police say they were uncooperative and assaulted an officer.
The Weller women were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
