Butler Township is moving ahead with a road repair project planned for later this fall.
During their meeting Monday night, the Butler Township Commissioners awarded the emergency repair of Coverdale Road to Demex LLC.
The Butler-based company submitted the lowest of four bids received by Gateway Engineers at just over $29,000. The township Public Works Department investigated a depression in the road between two houses and found the deterioration of a pipe over 200 feet long. This pipe will be replaced and connected to a Township catch basin.
This work is expected to begin as soon as possible and be completed within 30 days so that the road can be repaved this year.
