Through a partnership with some local organizations, the Butler Area School District is helping local families.
Staff members at Emily Brittain Community Partnership and Demonstration School are setting up the hallways and multi-purpose room today to distribute gifts, holiday meal baskets, and lunch to-go boxes for about 160 families from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Making this effort possible, the district has been joined by Inspired Hearts and Hands, Butler MSA Safety, and the Center for Community Resources. Families will be directed to drive through the main drive at the school and pass by five stations with 2 or 3 people loading items.
This is not the first time these groups have come together to help families of Butler students as baskets were also given out earlier this year.
