Eugene C. Bonetti, 95, of Butler, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022 at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born November 16, 1926 in Boyers, the son of the late James Bonetti and Carmella “Minnie” (Diana) Bonetti.
Eugene was a veteran of the Marines during WWII. He worked in maintenance at Pangborn Abrasives in Butler. He was a member of the Boyer’s Sportsman Club. Eugene was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
Surviving are his five daughters, Deborah Bier of Renfrew, Barbara (Michael) Acquavita of Butler, Pamela (Thomas) Kaylor of Butler, Kimberly (Richard) Moore of West Sunbury and Cheryl (Richard) Schomburger of Lake Prior, Minnesota; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; a brother, James (Margie) Bonetti of Boyers; two sisters, Virginia Hockenberry of Harrisville and Carmella (Robert) Critchlow of Butler; three sisters in law, Doran Bonetti, Joanne Bonetti and Margaret “Peggy” Cook; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Virginia (Cook) Bonetti, who passed away on November 9, 2016, seven brothers and a son in law, James Bier.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 12:30PM until the time of blessing service at 2:30PM. Military honors to follow the service.
