Eva Mae Kovalick, 81, of Butler passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025. She was born in Butler on September 20, 1943, to the late Matthew and Naomi (Sima) Stano. Eva graduated from Butler High School in 1961, afterward she married the late Joseph Kovalick and moved to an Army base in Colorado. She was a homemaker until they found their way back to Butler. Eva worked in retail, where she made many friends. Eva enjoyed her many adventures with friends and family. Whether she was out camping or on a new adventure with her sisters or going out to lunch with her former co-workers. She would enjoy knitting and crocheting gifts for everyone. If you said “Outer Banks”, she would be in the car waiting for you! And yes, to the gambling trips. But most of all, Eva enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, Kelli and Carissa. Eva is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Bryant) Kovalick-Leggett; sons, Michael (Kim) and David (Holly) Kovalick; sisters, Madaline Sproat and Jean Stano; grandchildren, Kelli and Carissa Kovalick; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and a cousin. Along with her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kovalick; and her sister, Naomi “Snooks” Hempfling. All services will be held privately through SPENCER D.
