Quilt Show At Saxonburg Art Festival

An acclaimed quilt show and a well-known community band will anchor Saxonburg Art Festival activities at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church on September 9 and 10. The fifth annual show will highlight 70-plus quilts during the festival from 10 am to 5 pm Saturday and from 12 to 5 pm Sunday in Centennial Hall at 110 State St. A concert by the Kiski Valley Community Band will be held at 2 pm Sunday on the church lawn. The quilt show is dedicated to the memory of Betty Learn, a St. Luke’s church member who brought it back in 2013. Visitors can vote on their favorite quilt. In addition, there will be craft artisans, a silent auction, quilt tickets and a display on charity outreach through quilting. The quilt show is sponsored by St. Luke’s and the Pieceful Patchers Quilt Guild. Refreshments will be available all weekend in the church fellowship hall.
