Several local groups are coming together to distribute food to those in need.
A walk-up distribution will take place on Wednesday, June 17th from 9 to 11 a.m. in the parking lot of the First United Methodist Church on East North Street in Butler. Organizers plan to serve 500 families with 25 to 50 pounds of food each. No cars will be permitted and those attending should bring a wagon or cart. Pre-registration is required by going online to eventbrite or calling 724-431-3748.
The Butler County Food Bank is asking everyone at these events to observe social distancing, wear masks, and follow all instructions given by staff, volunteers, or law enforcement.
These efforts are made possible by the Alliance for Nonprofit Resources, Community Partnership Inc, Marburger Farm Dairy, First United Methodist Church, and Hillcrest Baptist Church.
